IE8 is constantly closing

Using Vista Home Premium, IE8 is constantly closing - that is, a
message box tells me something happened and IE has to close. Most of
the time, I just 'X' out the message box and IE does NOTclose. Any
solutions?

Re: IE8 is constantly closing

Does it happen if you start IE without Addons. Right click IE's desktop icon
and choose Start Without Addons.

No such option is available when I do what you suggest.

Type "internet explorer" (without the quotes) in the Start Search box in
the Start menu, and one of the options presented will be "Internet Explorer
(No Add-ons)".

Actually, I already see those options as soon as I have typed "int" :-)

Re: IE8 is constantly closing

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No
Add-ons)

Or can run the command line arguement;

iexplore.exe -extoff

Now, I think I know the answer - but what should I do if it works OK
with no add-ons? Shut them off one-by-one?

Re: IE8 is constantly closing

Hello RMO,

You can also reset Internet Explorer, then enable each add-on one by one to see which one may be the bad one.

Internet Explorer - Reset

Hope this help,
Shawn
