Voice recog works great for commands, but not at all for dictation

Hi,

I've recently started having a problem with voice recognicnition under
vista.
I can control all items of my PC and issue all commands, first time every
time. And all the tutorials go well.

However, when I try to use dictation, in any application, lets say, wordpad.
It never, ever does any dictation whatsoever, no matter how long i speak
for. The best I get is the mic logo says "pressing keys" and it puts up a
few letters. That or a random number actions happen that do strange things
to my computer.

Dictation works very well in the tutorial though.

Has anyone had this problem ?

make sure that you have checked the option"start dictation on all location"
(maybe different in english language version)

I think you'll find that the tutorial was rigged to work right. I haven't
had that much problem with dictation, but it's obviously going to take a lot
of training to improve accuracy.
