Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium Install Under Vista RC1 a N

Does anyone know how to get this to work? I understand it was fixed in RC2,
but, unfortunately, don't have access to that (unless MS is making it
available to those of us who paid for RC1.

I've tried installing as an administrator and disabling UAC and neither
helped.

Thanks for any insight into this problem.

Installs just fine here, running on RC2. Which platform is this, 64 or 32
bit Vista?

Re: Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium Install Under Vista RC1

Ooops. I also should have added that it's 32-bit. Not ready to give 64-bit a
shot, yet, with drivers being unavailable for so many devices.

Thanks.

Version 2007 - x86, I have not tried on Vista x64, but when I tried to
install on XP x64 I got some error about compatibility with the .NET
Framework.

Re: Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium Install Under Vista RC1 a N

Thanks Andre. If you try on 64, let me know. I had hesitated buying it
since when I tried to install last years equivalent, Reference Library, it
said continuing the install could result in damage to the machine. Only
program with that warning I've seen. Also, does this still have a
dictionary? I use that most and have seen no reference to it in the
documentation. Thanks.

Will do John, I am downloading my x64 Vista freebie now, so I will let you
know later. Yes, it still includes the Dictionary, which looks very nice and
contains lots of language tools.
