Advanced file sharing on Vista Home Premium?

Hi,

Does Vista Home Premium included advanced file sharing as you would have
with XP Pro? It's for a PC that is being used as a file server on a home
network where some folders are available to all and others are blocked except
for an admin with a password.

Thanks in advance,
Charles

Re: Advanced file sharing on Vista Home Premium?

I assume you mean the Sharing and Security mode with NTFS permissions. AFAIK
no, it does not. You would need Vista business. It is not generally a
feature that most home users need or use.

Yes. That's exactly what I meant. I guess I will have to get Vista Business.

Thanks so much for your quick answer.
