Vista - Media Player 11 Download for Vista

Hello,

Europe "Vista Editions N" don't have included the media player. Where can I
download it?

You cannot download Media player for Vista.
Either it is part of vista or it is not.
The only downloadable one is NOT for Vista.

Hi Hillbilly,

we in Europe have a special Edition of Windows OSes. Like Windows XP N, is
Windows XP without Mediaplayer, but you can still download it and install it
. So i hope there will be soon a download for it... maybe???

WMP11 for Vista N users should be downloadable from Windows Downloads at
some point. It is too early because Vista N launch is still in the future
and may be later than the January 30, 2007 general public launch for the
other editions. MS has promised a Vista N in compliance with EU
requirements, but that it might not be available as soon as the other
editions.

dos a tres millones de euros la multa diaria que puede imponer a Microsoft
si no completa la documentación. La multa empezaría a contar a partir del 31
de julio.

La CE se reserva además el derecho a sancionar a la compañía si una vez que
la documentación esté disponible impone unos precios desproporcionados para
los competidores que quieran utilizarla.

Bruselas ya ha sancionado dos veces a Microsoft. En 2004, le impuso una
multa de 497 millones de euros, la mayor de historia de la política
comunitaria de competencia, por abuso de posición dominante. Y en julio,
Microsoft se convirtió también la primera empresa que encajaba una multa por
desobedecer las órdenes de la CE.

Just get one of the other editions. Just because you live in Europe you dont
have to buy the "N" edition, indeed hardly anyone bought the N edition of
XP. Hardly any retailer has it in stock and it is the same price as the
usual version of XP. I assume it will be the same for the Vista edition.

Exactly. I am all pro Europe but these requirements for Microsoft are just
rediculous. We can only protest by never, never installing N products. I mean
com'on, what's the point in getting less for the same amount of money? It's
not that with N you can use 3rd party software that you cannot with non-N.

What the heck is wrong with including things that previously you had to buy
separately? Backup, spy defenders, firewalls, media players, zip
functionality, video editing, CD/DVD burning. OK, it's limited compared to
full fledged products but at least it gets you started.

Think about the amount of money spent by Microsoft for developing a special
version for EUR. Who's ultimately going to pay for it? Yes, us, the consumers.

what is your native language? i may be able to make it easyer on you, i know
quite a few european languages also i live in the uk which kind of helps
