Microsoft has finally figured out how to completely alienate their
paying customers and Vista's and XP's draconian and arrogant "anti
piracy" programs will be the best thing for Linux in years. If I hand
over my hard earned cash for a product, I should not be made to prove
that it is legit over and over again.

The ironic thing is that it doesn't affect piracy one iota because as
soon as MS comes up with another anti piracy program, it's cracked the
next day.

I wasn't even considering Linux until WGA made the scene. So, they've
lost me and my three computers and everyone I come in contact with.
That's how bad PR works.

That url doesn't work with Fire Fox so, unless you're willing to use IE,
you can't read it. The little I could read only proves that MS is
arrogant and assumes all its customers are thieves.

I just read it with SeaMonkey 1.0.6 (a Mozilla/Gecko engine derivative
like FF) - so switch to SM;-)

Or I could add the IE extension to FF but I have no real inclination to
do it as I still have IE6 and it works fine for IE only pages. Once I
switch over to Ubuntu completely, I may very well either add the
extension or download SeaMonkey.

the page works fine for me (Firefox 2.0, WinXP); it is displayed correctly.
So it's not a general Firefox issue.

Seamonkey is not FF with IE extension - that's Netscape capability
(it can use both Trident and Gecko for rendering)

BTW, I tried with Firefox 2 and the above mentioned page is OK
Maybe you have installed one of the problematic Firefox extensions.

Re: WGA and Aero Glass

If Ubuntu is so good, how come you have not switched over completely
already? Maybe you should look for a more capable Linux variant, Suse 10.1,
for instance..

Re: WGA and Aero Glass

Just like having a door lock on your front door proves to everyone who
visits you that ***you*** believe that THEY are a thief.

Your draconian and arrogant "anti theft" methods are certain to alienate
those who come to your home.

Anti-theft measures keep an honest person honest. They do not necessarily
prevent thievery and loss!
