Windows Defender annoyance

Each time I logon I get a message that WD has blocked startup programs,
click to see. Nothing shows as blocked. Four show as unclassified, two of
which are definitely running, that leaves two Microsoft Register Servers as
unclassified. Even after startup this annoying message pops up every hour
or so. Any way to either find out the blocked programs or stop the
messages? Thanks

Re: Windows Defender annoyance

if you mouse over the Defender icon in the tray, there is no MENU that pops up regarding blocked programs.

If I mouse over, it shows blocked startup programs, when clicked on the panel that displays shown either permitted or unclassified as in first post. Nothing shows blocked.

Re: Windows Defender annoyance

when I mouse over blocked startup programs another menu pops out from the side listing the blocked programs, allowing you to click on them to run them anyway.

Re: Windows Defender annoyance

No such luck here. Nothing listed. Just says 'blocked startup programs'. I only get the large balloon stating that there are blocked programs at startup and approximately every hour it reappears. Click on it as directed and nothing shows blocked.
