    Is there a Win7 newsgroup out there somewhere? I have not been able to
    locate one.

    Yes, but not on the Microsoft servers since they will be shutting this
    server down soon. There is a newsgroup called alt.windows7.general.
    Check servers such as news.eternal-september.org or aioe.org

    you can acquire NNTP Bridge from ms and find many W7 news groups.
