    advice on system config please

    Hello,

    In my system configuration file there are 3 startup options, 'normal
    startup' , ' diagnostic startup' , and 'selective startup '.

    I have 'selective startup' ticked. I cannot remember fiddling with this
    file, but might have done and if so I cannot recall why!

    My pc seems ok, should I switch back to the 1st option ?

    Advice please

    My laptop also has a selective start up.

    Having a selective startup isn't a problem. It is simply not running all of your startup entries at the startup, which should be improving the speed of your computer.

    I would advise against modifying the startup procedure unless you have the knowledge of what you are doing.
