Unable to access HKLM registry key remotely

I can't gain access to the HKLM registry key on a remote Vista machine at
all. Calls to RegConnectRegistry fail with error code 0x0035 ('the network
path was not found') even though the machine is definately present and
accessible since earlier accesses to various shares have worked OK. Any
suggestions would be very welcome.

Re: Unable to access HKLM registry key remotely

Hi,

Is remote registry running on the target system? It must be in order to
access its registry. By default, this service is not running unless manually
started.

Thanks Rick. That's fixed the problem.
