Re: Remote Desktop Web Connection

It may still be an option when you install IIS. To install IIS open Control
Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows Features On and Off (on the
left hand side of the window)

Re: Remote Desktop Web Connection

Hi Tom,

I don't see it anywhere under IIS (this is an RTM Ultimate install), nor do
I find any information on it in any documentation I have. I find it odd that
they would have removed this feature, though I never did think to check for
it during the beta (too many other things to bug).

It's a shame that it isn't there anymore, but it was never as useful to me
as it could have been. When I'd really want to use the web connection
rather than the usual client would have been on machines that just didn't
have the client installed, and I had no rights to install it. This was
usually at university computers or internet cafes. But they wouldn't allow
the installation of the required ActiveX control anyway, so it was pretty
pointless. Why do you want it?

Re: Remote Desktop Web Connection

It's not in the IIS features listed, mine is also an RTM install.

Re: Remote Desktop Web Connection

Hi,

Strangely enough, and for reasons I am unable to ascertain, no, it is not
available in any version of Vista, even Ultimate.
