Adobe Reader 8 is out.

The header says it all, but I'll say it again.

Adobe Reader 8.0 is out now.

And Foxit Reader has been out for a while. It's free too, works in
Vista, is substantially smaller and faster, and doesn't attempt to
install toolbars or extra unnecessary services:

It's almost as sophisticated as the full blown Adobe reader, and it
does the job for the vast majority of users who just need a PDF
reader. It can use lots of languages, it can copy text, search and
print documents, etc., just like Adobe. I've been using it for months
now, and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't want the bloated Adobe
reader.

It doesn't need to be installed either - just drop the small
executable file in a convenient folder and make a shortcut to it. The
first time you run it, run it as an Administrator so it can properly
set the PDF file associations. After that, you can just double-click
on a PDF file and it quickly opens in the Foxit Reader.

Re: Adobe Reader 8 is out.

Installed it a couple of days ago. Personally, I do not like it and will
probably reinstall 7. this weekend

I still use Acrobat Reader 5. 6 and 7 are just too big. 5 works in Vista
also.
