| | Re: What is a good Anti Virus program. Trend Micro scan is actually pretty handy as well as being almost non-existent in terms of system resources. I have been using AVG since 97' on my home systems. I use Trend for the Networked domain at work and AVG on my home systems. I have not tried either with Vista yet. <Colin Thompson> wrote in message news:5890400D-2AA3-4B95-9C99-002783F661AA@microsoft.com... I have the Vista beta version of OneCare beta 1.5 and while it works I don't particularily like it as it's more than AV, it's backup, a firewall and a defragger as well. I have used AVG free edition which worked and then didn't and then did again on Vista. I prefer it to AVAST, though my experience with AVG is that it is great at finding viruses, but not so great at removing them. Avast for me finds lots of false positives and One Care Live seems to be aimed at less competent PC users and seems basic. I found it slowed my system down and gave up and uninstalled it, though some find this happens with them others don't it seems and recommend it.
