HTTP mail in Vista mail

Does anyone know if this will be added later? It seems so odd that it's in
the option list not not able to be used unless hotmail/msn/live plans to
move to POP3.

Re: HTTP mail in Vista mail

You need Live Mail Desktop if you want that

Re: HTTP mail in Vista mail

there are several 3rd party programs that interface with WM to do this.
HotPop for hotmail
Ypop for yahoo
Gpop for gmail
and
traypop for all 3.

I know chinese websites like lots of moving things on them, but HTML posts

You could move to Windows Live Mail Desktop if you don't mind the crappy
interface and teh adverts. I prefered to move to full Outlook, and I should
have done this years ago, as I have a lot of email accounts. Another option
you might want to consider is Thunderbird, which now has some HTTP email
addons.

Using HTML in a newsgroup also gives away the fact that you're a newbie :-)

You must have turned it on, since it's off by default thus complying with
Usenet conventions. Why don't you go back there now and turn it off.

Saying something like this also gives away the fact that you're an old fart.

I can't wait until this "Usenet convention" is gone. It's the 21st century
now. There's no need to adhere to 1970's concepts.

You need to think it through a bit then. The Internet is already pretty
congested - the impact of doubling the volume of Usenet posts would make
it even worse.
