Whenever I have restarted Vista and try to access our home server, the
password is asked over and over again. And that's while I use the "remember
password" option.
How can I resolve this, because it seems I'm the only one with the problem...
tnx!

The same problem arises with me when making a connection to the Internet. As
sson as i click the connect button i am asked for a password. I bugged this
problem during the beta test of Vista and Microsoft were 'looking' into it.
However, if i remember correctly, i was told that a fix would not be
implemented until after Vista went on sale. so it may be a case of just
waiting for an update to solve the problem. I am also unable to conenct to
the internet after hibernating or putting the pc to sleep. Again, this is an
issue that i bugged, but so far nothing has been done about it. For this
reason my PC is now powered down completely after each session.

I have the same problem after resuming from sleep or hibernate, not network
connection. NIC is set to never power off. Hope a fix comes soon.

So do I aaron, it is such a pain not being able to resume an internet
connection after hibernation or sleep.
Just out of curiosity what make of modem are you using. Mine is a SpeedTouch
330. Although speedtouch have Vista drivers available, they still don't work
on my set-up. I'm wondering whether the connection problems we are
experiencing are modem manufacturer specific?

Vista wont remember ANY passwords, even when you check the box... websites
in IE... UNC network connections... Outlook connecting to an exchaneg
server.... ALL of them do not work. type in a username and password, check
the box to remember... and it pops up 5 mins later with a blank password.
i cant understand how such a huge "bug" is released

Try reversing the post-it on your monitor that has your password so that the
writing points in toward the monitor so it can be properly scanned.

Well, in my case, I tell it not to remember the password to my server but it
doesn't know that it doesn't remember. Instead of asking for the password,
it just tries the blank password - over and over again until locks the
account. And it does it all in just a split second.
