| | Vista RTM very sluggish when accessing Word 2007, Acrobat 8.0, all applications In the case of Microsoft Word, a surge in processor usage on a single process (spoolsrv.exe) is noted during the starting and stopping of Word. This is not seen on other platforms using Office 2007 Ultimate (Windows 2003 R2, Windows XP SP2, both fully patched as of 12/20/2006). I have noticed all applications have been sluggish/non-responsive for long periods of time (>30 seconds) since I upgraded to Vista RTM from RC2. -- Edward Ray CCIE Security, CISSP, GCIA Gold, GCIH Gold, MCSE+Security, PE |

| | Re: Vista RTM very sluggish when accessing Word 2007, Acrobat 8.0, all applications Upgrading from a beta version to a released version of an operating system is never recommended. Please perform a "clean install" of Windows Vista RTM. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Edward Ray" wrote: | In the case of Microsoft Word, a surge in processor usage on a single | process (spoolsrv.exe) is noted during the starting and stopping of Word. | This is not seen on other platforms using Office 2007 Ultimate (Windows 2003 | R2, Windows XP SP2, both fully patched as of 12/20/2006). | | I have noticed all applications have been sluggish/non-responsive for long | periods of time (>30 seconds) since I upgraded to Vista RTM from RC2. | | -- | Edward Ray | CCIE Security, CISSP, GCIA Gold, GCIH Gold, MCSE+Security, PE | |

| | Re: Vista RTM very sluggish when accessing Word 2007, Acrobat 8.0, was't there some patch you had to install before Word 2007 was installed?
