How to completely disable UAC?

I think I've disabled this three times already. However, after a little
time, I get the stupid UAC popup every time I try to do something. The
latest is after Vista downloaded and installed updates than rebooted. Is
there a way to kill this thing completely?

Thanks,
Brett

Re: How to completely disable UAC?

How did you disabled it?
The standard procedure is to enter system configuration (start -> Run ->
msconfig), go to 'tools' and launch 'Disable UAC'.
I've done it a month ago, never seen it again. You possibly have to do that
for every account though...

Re: How to completely disable UAC?

The details for disabling UAC are available on my website:
http://vistasupport.mvps.org at this link

I can't say i've had any problems once i had disabled UAC.

RE: How to completely disable UAC?

Brett:
This worked for me permanently.
Click Start, Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts
Turn User Account Control On or Off
Uncheck "Use...", click Ok as many times as needed.
