| | Vista RTM Control Panel Problem I have a weird problem. When I click the Start logo and Control Panel, it does nothing. The Control Panel will not show up BUT if I create a short cut on my desktop, it works. Has anyone seen this? It's Vista RTM Thanks, Yosh |

Do you have it set to display as a link or as a menu? If menu (little arrow) and it pops up as a menu, then clicking it doesn't work. If you have it set to display as a link and it doesn't work, then I have no idea. Mike |

What is the control panel's executable file? yoshi wrote: > I have a weird problem. When I click the Start logo and Control Panel, > it does nothing. What is the control panel's executable file? Right click it on the Start menu. Show on desktop is an option. Mike |

This is really annoying, considering I have a fast system with RAID 0 drives. Do you know how to make the rest appear like the first batch? They really should be Superfetched or something. ss. |

Sorry, ss. Don't have an answer to this one. I've seen this behaviour on relatively slow systems while my last setup with WEI 5.2 (HDD 5.9) doesnt have this problem. So it can be performance issue that can be sloved by hw upgrade. Also, which view do you use in Control Panel? If it is one of thumbinal views (Extra Large, Large, Medium or Small Icons), try to change to List or Table View to see if it solves the issue. -- Alexander Suhovey |

| | Re: Vista RTM Control Panel Problem Well... I changed the CP Start menu entry to show as a menu so it pops pretty much like classic view in CP itself... so I don't really open CP itself anymore...
