| | Re: Help Installing XNA Click on the Start Orb, type "cmd" (do not hit enter), right click on the Command icon in the menu above, choose Add to Quick Launch. Then right click on the Command icon you placed on the QL and select Properties. The Shortcut tab on the Properites page will display. Click the Advanced button ant then put a checkmark in the Run As Administrator box. OK out of Properites. Now you can run the command prompt with administrator rights anytime you want. Running the msi file should work now. | | Re: Help Installing XNA Hi, An alternate method to Colin's: Click start, type CMD. In the menu you should now see the command prompt at the top. Right click this and choose 'run as administrator'. It should prompt for permission (UAC) to run. The prompt will be at the C:\Windows\system32 folder, type: "cd %userprofile%\desktop" (no quotes) and hit <enter>. Now type: "xnagse_setup.msi" (again, no quotes) and hit <enter>. This should run the installer with the necessary elevated privileges. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Keeep Out" <KeeepOut@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:93622D73-09C6-408C-94A1-7F30FBDB3A3D@microsoft.com... > Once again, there is no option to run as administrator.
