| | Re: disabling Recycle Bin You can disable the recycle bin with the regedit below, are you can just highlight the file or folder you're deleting, and hit the shift+delete key. Open your registry and find or create the key below. Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called "NukeOnDelete" and set it according to the value data below. Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect. | | Re: disabling Recycle Bin I've added the suggested registry values (I had to add the BitBucket folder) As you can see in my screenshot, however deleted files still end up in the recycle bin. For now in Vista I allways have to delete files with shift+delete. And I used to have this set right in XP. I use Vista RTM Build 6000... Greetings... | | Re: disabling Recycle Bin Note that in Windows Vista recycle bin settings are "per drive". If you are removing files from your C drive, you'll need to apply those settings to your C drive too. -- Regards, Daniel Martín Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User "Photubias" <tijl.deneut@howest.be> wrote in message news:%23ObuJuNLHHA.320@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > When I set options like in screenshot, this doesn't work.
