"The bottom line is you couldn't use a vulnerability like this to write a
worm or hack a Vista system remotely," Hypponen said Tuesday. "It only has
historical significance in that it's the first reported vulnerability that
also affects Vista. It's a nonevent in other ways."
Wow I'm scared. :-)

The redmondmag article starts out so sensationalistic, it's almost as
if you're reading a tabloid.
Try this instead:

SecurityFocus is owned by Symantec, not by Microsoft as some anti-MS
advocates will probably start claiming after reading that article
I find this one much more interesting:

Thats not so bad really. Theres always coding errors some where. In fact, if
they were no coding errors in Vista i'd be worried because it just wouldn't
be normal.
There has never been, and I don't think we will see in our life times, a
secure operating system from any company and one free of errors or bugs. So
when they sensationalize something like this that has very little, to no,
effect and couldn't be used in a practical sense except in very narrowly
defined and unlikely cases, its just not relevant in the overall scheme of
things.

It's pretty simple to make a secure operating system -- The trick is
making one that's useful without leaving the barn door open.
