There is no Windows boot logo. I think MS are trying to be more stealthy about world domination from now, as having a great big logo in your face every morning is likely to continue to cause contempt. ss. |

| | Re: Vista Logo no logo, only the little animated bar. if youd rather a big, colorful "vista", open a command prompt and run this: bcdedit /set quietboot on this is the same as the nobootgui switch in the boot.ini of previous versions of windows "Jawad" <Jawad@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1F855FF1-DD6D-4098-99A8-205E277BB48B@microsoft.com... >I ve installed windows vista today. it is not showing boot logo of windows. > But Status bar is animating. > What should i do? |

The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access is denied. Yes ... I am logged in as an admin Cheerz - Brownz http://www.brownz.org/ |

I am logged in as an admin Maybe, but in Vista "an admin" and "the admin" do not have the same rights. Right click on the command prompt icon and select Run as Administrator and then try the above command again. -- Tom Porterfield |

| | Re: Vista Logo No boot logo exists on Vista. I believe it is something to do with the new breed of PCs booting faster. Apparently the a logo would just flash on then straight off in this situation making it pointless. -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows Shell/User Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is". I knew that, as that's what I did (I've been porting some store's between certain default config setups for use with a WinPE silent install), but not as easy as *just* opening a command prompt as suggested earlier. -- Cheerz - Brownz http://www.brownz.org/ |
