There is no Windows boot logo. I think MS are trying to be more stealthy
about world domination from now, as having a great big logo in your face
every morning is likely to continue to cause contempt.

Nothing, by design.

Nothing. There is no boot logo, just the bar.

Re: Vista Logo

no logo, only the little animated bar. if youd rather a big, colorful
"vista", open a command prompt and run this:

bcdedit /set quietboot on

this is the same as the nobootgui switch in the boot.ini of previous
versions of windows

Nice.

The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
Access is denied.

Yes ... I am logged in as an admin

Maybe, but in Vista "an admin" and "the admin" do not have the same rights.
Right click on the command prompt icon and select Run as Administrator and
then try the above command again.

Re: Vista Logo

No boot logo exists on Vista. I believe it is something to do with the new
breed of PCs booting faster. Apparently the a logo would just flash on then
straight off in this situation making it pointless.

I knew that, as that's what I did (I've been porting some store's between
certain default config setups for use with a WinPE silent install), but not
as easy as *just* opening a command prompt as suggested earlier.
