Vista - Change the white window background

Can the Window color with Advanced Classic appearance settings please be
implemented better in future versions of Vista? it doesn't affect most
windows, like Windows File Explorer and Control Panel and the Start Menu.

right click desktop - properties - window color and appearance - classic
appearance properties - advanced

Most people might prefer the extra contrast, but all the white is a little
hard on my eyes.
