Vista - cingular 8525 and WMDC

Hi im hopin someone can help me here, i have the cingualar 8525 and installed
release version of enterprise vista (upgrade) and installed WMDC. The
problem is that when I connect my 8525 to the pc via usb, vista installs one
thing, HTC usb sync. then after that i get a message saying that an unknown
device has been installed and vista attempts to look for drivers but fails.
i went into device manager and sure enough. when i connect the 8525 to the
comp, under mobile devices, htc usb sync shows up and under other devices,
unknown device shows up. i have uninstalled and reinstalled WMDC and reboted
my pc and 8525 many times with no success. the weird thing is that i can add
and remove programs from the usb connection, i just have no way of sync or to
explore the device.

Do you have One Care installed? If so try turning off the firewall and see
if you can get it configured. If that works look for a post with a bunch of
manual configuration changes you need to make to get WMDC to work with One
Care.
