You've Earned Your Vista Series Gift

I just received an email from http://www.powertogether.com/

Here's a quote from the email...

"Congratulations, you've learned how to build well-connected, visually
stunning applications with Windows Vista, and now your free, full-licensed
copy of Windows Vista Business is on its way.

Please be patient. We cannot ship your gift until Windows Vista Business is
released to manufacturing. Your free software should arrive in six to eight
weeks after RTM. If it doesn't arrive after eight weeks, please contact a
customer service representative at Windows Vista and Office Kit Order Admin.
Be sure to have your confirmation number XXXXX on hand."

Anyone else ?

Re: You've Earned Your Vista Series Gift

I just received the same email. Thought RTM was in November?

Re: You've Earned Your Vista Series Gift

Thanks for the update. I haven't heard anything regarding my earned copy
of Office 2007 Pro, yet, but hopefully it will be soon forthcoming.

I completed the requirements for the free copy of Vista on 12/1/06 and have
not received an email yet. When did you complete the necessary webcasts?

It was. And the eighth week is just passed.

WSZsr spewed out this bit, and i'll scatter a few bits myself:

I think that's just somewhat of an automated type of email. From reading
around on several forums, they're ready to ship Windows Vista Business as we
speak.

This comes directly from Mark Brown, a Microsoft employee.

Maybe that email was to inform everyone that it has shipped ?

If I'm not mistaken, somewhere in this forum it states that Office 2007 Pro
has already been given out, I might be wrong though. Best I recall, I read
in there that they sent out CD keys and a link to download an ISO for Office
2007 Pro. <shrug> Have a read through it yourself.

I'm not sure exactly when I completed the requirements. All I can tell you
is that it was during the time that the website was heavily overloaded. I've
logged on, and looked, I don't see anywhere that would tell me when I
completed the requirements. Am I overlooking it somewhere ?

Ok after glancing back though that forum, I was wrong. Seem neither one has
been sent out as of the time of the posts in that forum. Wasn't trying to
burst your bubble. But it does say that Office 2007 will be sent as a CDkey,
with a link to download the ISO.

Re: You've Earned Your Vista Series Gift

I just got my email notification on the Vista gift. Still nothing on the
Office 2007 gift yet.

Maybe I'll receive the Vista disk in the mail in the next couple of days.
