Vista - Blank Screeen after screen saver has been on for a great while....

I am getting a black screen with only my mouse on the screen... I ahve tried
to Crtl Alt and Delete and still no difference. As I move the mouse around
the screen I happened to round across a spot that turns the pointer into a
cursor for writing. I input my password and it works and able to get back
into the desktop and everything appears for me.... Any reason this might
happen???

Seems like it went in to some of the energy saving modes. And what I
have experienced they are a bit buggy. Just disable them so your
computer don't go into sleep mode or energy savings mode and you will
be fine.

I haven't had a black screen concern after sleep mode with B2, RC1,
RC2 or RTM. With the beta builds I would occasionally get a message about my
video recovering from an error after exiting the sleep mode. I haven't had
this message since installing the RTM build. Most likely the cause is a
video driver issue, which was very common in the beta builds.

I have the same problem. I found you can go into Power Options and shutoff
the sleep mode.
