Sharing facility

Hi
Can anyone tell me if you can share folders using vista home premium?

I have at present a win2k pc, that will easily take vista home premium, that
I use as a file server/games pc. And I am looking at getting Vista as an
upgrade for the OS but need to know if Home Premium will allow me to keep
sharing the folders I have shared.

Also what is best way to buy and upgrade Vista, as a full version or as an
upgrade version.

Any info would be great.
Thanks

I haven't had any problems sharing files from either Vista (Ultimate) to XP
Pro and vice versa. I am having problems accessing Vista shared files from
a Linux box, but if you are only running Microsoft operating systems this
is not applicable to you.

You will be able to share files/folders/printers with Vista Home Premium.
Here is a link to the upgrade matrix:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...gradeinfo.mspx

Looking at the matrix, you will see that while Win2k does qualify for an
upgrade, a clean install will be required.
