My system is : Intel core2 duo E6400 (2,1 Ghz for core),2 Gb ddr2, Geforce
7300 SE Turbo cache with 64 Mb gddr3(dedicated) 512 (total memory), Hd 350 Gb.
Well on my Pc there's the win vista capable logo! How it is possible?
Shouldn't be Win Vista premium ready ?

RE: Windows Vista capable or premium ready?

I wouldn't be too concerned with the logo on your PC that says Vista capable,
it is just a generic logo. I have an HP laptop that I got in November of
2006, and it just says Vista capable. Mine has an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200,
Nvidia graphics card with 512mb of memory, 17" HD screen, 2Gb of DDR2 (RAM),
and dual 100Gb internal HDD's. According to Microsoft, based on the specs of
my computer, my laptop is Vista Premium Ready, but the logo on my PC just
says Vista capable. So, relax, don't worry, and enjoy life!

Capable means the hardware meets the mininmum system requirements but makes
no claim to availbility of drivers and utilities. Premium means you should
be able to run Aero Glass and the manufacturer plans to supply drivers for
Vista.

Well my brand new Dell had a "Capable" sticker on it but I know damn
well if they do not provide drivers then I will be chewing them out
pretty good. I got the laptop during the "express upgrade" promo so
they are providing the vista installation disc.
