Wallopaper when computer is locked

Under XP, when the computer was locked (Ctrl-Alt-Del, then Enter), the
wallpaper appeared. Now under Vista, the ugly green Vista screen appears. Is
there any way to have the wallpaper appear instead, like the behavior of XP?

Thanks!

But the wallpaper does not appear when you lock the computer? (WinKey + L
is the quick way).
You get the login screen, just like you do in Vista.

No - I get the default green Vista screen, not the custom wallpaper I have
selected. This occurs on two machines. Am I doing something wrong?

What you describe IS the logon screen by teh sound of it. It was just the
same in XP, but it looked different. You don't get the wallpaper when you
locked XP - you get the logon screen, which can be changed using third party
programs. This maybe the case with Vista as well, in the future.

Re: Wallopaper when computer is locked

When I ghit Ctrl-Alt-Del then Enter in XP, I get a little horizontal "This
computer is locked" box, with the rest of the screen being the wallpaper I
selected for my desktop. Under Vista, it does not show my wallpaper, it
shows this default green wallpaper.

I think you must have the Secondary Logon service disabled on the XP
machine, as that doesn't usually happen. IIRC you cannot disable this
service in Vista, but maybe somebody else can confirm this.
