| | Windows Vista Search Service has failed to created new system cata when I try to start the windows seach service it fails to start. I get an error Windows Search Service has failed to created the new system catalog. Internal error <1,0x80070002>. cannot find any reference to this error. can anyone enlighten me thanks |

| | Re: Windows Vista Search Service has failed to created new system I'm sorry. None of the Vista betas are available from Microsoft anymore. They are floating around on the P2P networks but you download there at your own risk. The only fix I ever found for the RC1 index death problem was to reinstall RC1. You can do an in-place upgrade of the same version and hopefully not lose any of your settings.
