| | Re: screensaver not working Hi Jane I was using a wireless mouse before and they worked. I only changed to a Microsoft wireless desktop 6000 and the problem started. Tried to switch back to other wireless mouse but can't. I guess I'll have to wait until end of month. Thanks. John "Jane C" wrote: > Are you using a wireless mouse? | | Re: screensaver not working I guess you better plan to keep waiting. This has been an issue throughout the beta & RC process and has still yet to be fixed. Furthermore, they actually acknowledge this as a known issue when they released the beta version of the intellipoint software for vista. When the 'final' version of intellipoint came out, the problem was still not fixed. Now they make no mention of this glaring issue anywhere. I walked into Costco this past weekend and saw rows of the 6000-series Microsoft wireless mice. They actually had the nerve to plaster on the box, "Optimized for Windows Vista"! Can you believe that?! The radio-transmitted mice have a problem preventing the screensaver from ever coming on (and thus the screens from ever gonig to sleep and the computer from ever going to sleep) and they actually have the nerve to put "Optimized for Wnidows Vista" on the box. What's even more sad & insulting is that the same MICROSOFT mouse works flawlessly in the APPLE OSX operating system. Why can't Microsoft make their own hardware work on their own OS is beyond me. | | Re: screensaver not working Hi Jeff I switched back to Logitech. At least the desktop works. They released software for vista but it won't install. | | Re: screensaver not working Well, I guess that would explain why I never see the screensaver. Might also be why when I put my computer to sleep, it goes to sleep and shuts down then immediatly starts back up again. Quite annoying really.
