Just why do you post it here?

It reminds me of Bruce Willis' McClane standing in the middle of Harlem
wearing a sign which I will not quote. He at least was forced to do that.

Re: Just say "no" to Vista

Why do people respond to these idiotic posts anyway?

I would imagine that next Tuesday this and all the other
Microsoft Vista newsgroups will have hundreds of posts.
Someone should just cut and paste standard responses
to questions like will I loose my XP license when I use
a Vista Upgrade Edition, why can't I see all my 4GB of
RAM, etc.

As to the Microsoft bashing, and the Vista bashing, why
not just ignore them? And the endless metaphysical argument
about pirating and stealing-- just let them pass by. If these
people get ignored, hopefully they will go away.

If they have a legitimate complaint about Vista usability or
performance, and you think that you can help them, then
answer their posts, but please just let the Linux lovers, the
Microsoft bashers, and the XP was so much better whiners
rant to an empty room.

Re: Just say "no" to Vista

Yeah, I just thought it'd be a good joke.

However, I don't think it is realistic to expect everyone to ignore such
posts. Provocative as they are, they very well can occasionally strike a
cord within someone hard enough to drown the voice of reason that whispers
"Don't. Just don't feed them".

And taking into account the activity of the group (meaning the community
size), we can safely say that there will always be enough food for such
posts to worth the trouble.

Re: Just say "no" to Vista

I just hope the people who have legitimate questions and solvable
problems will not get lost in all the noise and insulted by the rude,
condescending, smart a** know-it-all posters.

Right now I think that people are just bored and need some diversion
and amusement until the flood starts.

That was a very unintelligent reply. You never took debate in school, did
you?

Re: Just say "no" to Vista

Two of the links relate to the same subject.. IBM have been trying to dump
MS operating systems for a long time in favor of Linux so nothing new
there.. and then there is the trolls's personal anti MS blog..

All of this kind of stuff echoes the release of XP.. has Linux made ground?
not noticeably.. Has OS/2 or Token Ring been resurrected? No.. Are IT people
still warning against deployment of the latest from MS? Yes, but note that
large institutions are also wary of deploying products like WordPerfect
Office and Tweakui..

How many will join the No to the latest MS OS campaign? 180 million XP users
didn't, despite warnings like the above..
