Vista, ffdshow and WinDVD 8

I've been running a trial version of WinDVD 8, which is marketed as
Vista compatible. And in fact, it was working perfectly until....

I installed ffdshow. Now the picture and sound are jittery and not
synced and the app seems unstable. I wonder if any of the 9,823 codes
ffdshow installs could be the culprit?

I installed it based on another post I'd read that implied I needed it
for codecs I was missing (like DivX and some .wav files).

Curiously,

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Re: Vista, ffdshow and WinDVD 8

Uninstall it the problem program. Reinstall WinDVD.

I use Nvidia PureVideo Decoder. It's not free.
There is a trial version.

For other codecs I may need I use K-lite Basic or
K-lite Standard. You really don't need the full version.
During setup you can do a custom install and pick what
you want, uncheck ffdshow if it is checked.

Re: Vista, ffdshow and WinDVD 8

I have WinDVD version 4.5? When I start it up, it turns off aero glass.
Does Version 8 do that?
