VS2005

I am running Vista Ultimate. When I attempt to install VS2005 it goes part
way through the install and I get a popup indicating that it cannot find
"dexplore.exe". There is no such file on that DVD that I can find. Any
thoughts on how to resolve this?

Re: VS2005

Hi Wayne,

Are you certain your VS disc is good? I installed VS2005 on Vista, and
aside from the incompatibility warnings and the hangup on the last step of
the installation (which didn't seem to matter), it went alright. On my
VS2005 Team Suite, I have three instances of that file. Do you have any of
these?

F:\>dir /b /s /a: dexplore.exe
F:\msdn\DExplore\DExplore.exe
F:\vs\wcu\DExplore\DExplore.exe
F:\vss\wcu\DExplore\DExplore.exe

Re: VS2005

That's great. So's mine. But what about the existence of those files?
Although it's not real likely, it's possible you have a bad disc. Do those
files exist? If not, download the ISO.
