| | Can't begin install I just burned Vista to a DVD, and when I try to install it, it reads it as a blank disc, and asks me if I want to burn something on it. When I check the E Drive, it shows the file, and when I click on it, it does nothing. |

You can't simply burn the ISO file to a DVD. You must use a program like Easy CD Creator or Nero which can recognize that the file is a disk image and then use its special capability to burn it. When you get done, you'll have a disk with individual folders and files including an AUTORUN that will launch Setup. |

| | Re: Can't begin install You have to open the ISO into your burning software. Burning the ISO Image in NERO and Roxio Easy CD Creator: NERO Insert a Blank DVD, open Nero StartSmart > change the media type to DVD > select Copy and Backup > click "Burn Image to Disc" > navigate to where the Windows Vista BETA 2 Image is stored on your hard disk, (note: if you don't see it, make sure the image file type is changed to ISO" click Open and the burning wizard will automatically start. Roxio Open Creator Classic > click File > "Record Disc from Image" > navigate to where the Windows Vista BETA 2 Image is stored >click Open and the burning wizard will automatically start. Ensure that the ISO burns at a low speed, recommended speed, 2x for best results. http://windowsconnected.com/blogs/an...6/08/3002.aspx -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Silofolous" <Silofolous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4ACB9D9E-D162-45B9-91A6-6384DDF6FD2C@microsoft.com... >I just burned Vista to a DVD, and when I try to install it, it reads it as >a > blank disc, and asks me if I want to burn something on it.
