No, Business does not have BitLocker. I think it
that is a bad decision on Microsoft's part.

Only Ultimate and Enterprise do.

Re: does Vista Business have bitlocker?

The lack of BitLocker in the Business edition strikes me as a poor
business decision, as well. Do you know what MS's rationale was, by any
chance?

Re: does Vista Business have bitlocker?

To further set apart the Ultimate version from the others.
To add an additional reason why businesses should get
the Enterprise version.

Mo money. It's always about the money.

Re: does Vista Business have bitlocker?

I agree. It is supposed to protect laptop users in particular. At least
that's the example all the presenters use in the webcasts about it. They
use the "stolen laptop at the airport" example like a poster child for
Bitlocker. So who uses a laptop with important company data on it and isn't
using Business?

Re: does Vista Business have bitlocker?

Maybe the feeling is that they should be using Enterprise.

Re: does Vista Business have bitlocker?

Marketing needed items to further differentiate between editions in order to
justify the pricing ladder. So you don't get Bitlocker in Business and you
don't get CompletePC Backup in the home versions and so on. All nonsense to
the user, at least it is to me.
