I have done an upgrade install to Windows Vista RC1 (from Windows XP) and I
don't have the "Windows Vista" theme or the "Aero" colors. Can I download
these from somewhere?

If you're using Home Basic it doesn't come with Aero Glass. You'll also
need a supported video adapter to use it too. Any 128MB DirectX9 card will
do the trick.

Your Broadcom adapter is for your network. Look for ATI, or NVIDIA in your
device list.

Everything you ever wanted to know (and then some) about the Intel 945GM
chipsets graphics capabilities with the exception of how much video RAM can
be found here:
http://download.intel.com/design/mob...s/30921903.pdf.
Given what is there including PCI-express support, directx 9.1, etc., I
would believe that this is Aero Glass capable with the possible exception of
the amount of video RAM, 128mb is the minimum.
I assume this is a pretty recent laptop, so I would say check the
manufacturers site for their Vista support. It may just be a driver or BIOS
setting issue.

I have a similar video card, Intel Express Chipset Family or something like
that, and am unable to run aero. The only problem is, this is a custom built
computer, so I have no idea who the manufacturer is other than Intel I
suppose? What kind of video card do I need that will be compatible with both
Vista and my motherbaord (which is an ASUS) ?
