Re: If i upgrade from xp to vista,

Yes, whether they'll still work or not is a different story.

Re: If i upgrade from xp to vista,

It sounds as if a dual boot solution is the best one but! it seems most
EULAs cater for a single boot system.

Are there any considerations against installing software duplicates?

On the basis that a single computer can only be in one boot mode at any
single time ity would seem that user based EULAs would not be compromised.

Any thoughts?

Re: If i upgrade from xp to vista,

Yes, they will be there. Try the upgrade advisor to make sure they will
work, though. Your anti-virus and firewall probably won't without an update.

Re: If i upgrade from xp to vista,

Dustin,

You wouldn't happen to know if they have a 64bit version of the upgrade
advisor? The one i downloaded will not work on XP 64bit.

Re: If i upgrade from xp to vista,

You cannot use your XP license for a dualboot of XP after installing the
Vista upgrade. Once you upgrade to vista, the XP license is null and void.

Re: If i upgrade from xp to vista,

Tom:
I haven't seen a 64-bit upgrade advisor as of yet. Most likely one
won't be written because there is no direct upgrade installation.

Re: If i upgrade from xp to vista,

Uh-huh
I know I usurped the thread a little but the policy issue is:

does a dual boot system inherently undermine a EULA?

Naively my answer is: No

Basis: a computer can only be in one boot mode at a time (including
virtuality)
