| | HELP! Vista Upgrade Locked Out "My Music" Folder Help Please! I ugpraded Windows XP to Windows Vista Home Premium and now I cannot access: My Music My Pictures My Videos No matter what I do, I can't set the permissions right so I can get to my files. iTunes won't load because the "my music" folder won't open, and all my music I paid for is locked out. I've searched on the WEB and found lots of posts of people with the same problem but no solution. This must be a bug. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks |

| | RE: HELP! Vista Upgrade Locked Out "My Music" Folder I had this same problem, too, as have many others. I found answer at support at itunes from others. Basically you need to 1) Go into Control Panel 2) Click on User Accounts & Family Safety heading 3) Click on User Accounts, then look in menu and Click on Turns User Account Control On or Off. 4) Unclick User Account Control (UAC) to turn it off 5) Restart Computer 6) Go to Itunes and authorize your computer 7) Go back to User Accounts and reselect UAC to turn it back. Your computer will then have to reboot to save settings and your iTunes should give you access again.
