Does downloaded version still require a DVD drive?

I purchased and dl'd Vista Ultimate today. I also dl'd and ran the Windows
Vista Upgrade Advisor tool today and it warned that i would need to install
a DVD drive. Is this true even if I'm installing from the downloaded copy
of it?

Re: Does downloaded version still require a DVD drive?

If you run it from xp desktop you can use daemon tools and mount iso and
install that way without a dvd drive. Ive done it like that.

Re: Does downloaded version still require a DVD drive?

The download can run from an XP or W2k desktop. Be sure to get the dvd
mailed to you. It is only $9.95 for shipping. Buy a dvd drive for later.
You will not be able to access the recovery tools without one.
