NO Drivers for Canon G2

There will be NO Drivers for Canon G2 camera and others as well.
This is respnse I got from Canon support.

Dear XXX YYY:
Thank you for writing to us. We value you as a Canon customer and
appreciate the opportunity to assist you with the G2.

Unfortunately, drivers are not being written for this camera, as well as
others. We apologize about this inconvenience.

However, you could use a card reader to download the images, and continue to
use the Canon software. You might need to update the software also. Updates
are available at: www.powershot.com Click on download library, pick your
camera, and choose drivers and software.

We hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to contactus
again if you have any other questions or concerns with the G2.

Thank you for choosing Canon.

Sincerely,

My System SpecsSystem Spec

Re: NO Drivers for Canon G2

A card reader is faster than hooking the camera to the PC anyway. I have
used a reader for the last 4 years and never had a problem.

Re: NO Drivers for Canon G2

Absolutely. Once you've used a card reader you'll wonder why you ever
used the camera. Nothing lost because of the lack of drivers.
