uninstall upgrade advisor

Went to run advisor yesterday and it failed because of an older version that
it couldn't remove. Tried add/remove, tried deleting files as well as
registry entries, kept getting the same message that it couldn't remove an
older version. Is there anywhere that i can get an old (beta) version of
vista upgrade advisor? Thought that if i installed it and then uninstalled
it, that then i could use the latest version.

Download and run *Windows Install Clean Up*

If your older version is listed...select and remove it.

Re: uninstall upgrade advisor

Lenny,

I have this problem too. I guess tht I installed Upgrade Advisor at some
point in the past and then deleted the msi. Today I tried to download an
install the latest version and it says "The older version of Vista Upgrade
advisor cannot be removed"

I have also tried add remove programs but it keeps looking for the orginal
install package which I dont have?

Be very interested if you get a fix for this.

Geoff.
