| | Vista Issue ????? I have been running Vista in a dual boot environment for months. I decided to get rid of Vista RC1 and go back to XP. I reformatted the Vista partition, created a new boot sector for my XP environment. Every thing went well and I boot up nicely into XP. I decided to reclaim the old vista partition so I deleted the old Vista partition. Using Partition Magic 8.0 I attempted to resize my C partition to include the space where Vista was installed. Everything appeared to go as normal with Partition Magic showing the proper before and after graphic. I apply the changes and PM reboots and says the changes have been applied. When I look at the C drive I see there have been no changes made. The old Vista area still shows as unallocated space and the C partition size is unchanged. I also tried to reallocate the unused free space with Partition Magic with the same results. Could Vista done something that prohibits me from reallocating the space? |
