Vista Feedback

1. No sound at all (Conexant 2388x)
2. Printer won't install (Officejet 5600)
3. Every time I close IE, it tries to restart (whether I want it to or not),
and gives an error when I stop the restart
4. AOL get stuck when I try to switch from one of my accounts to another
(never did that under XP)

I'm sure there's more. if anyone can help with 1 or 2 at least, please let
me know.

Check with the manufacturer for a Vista compatible driver.

Same as above, check with HP. They are releasing drivers all the time.

You might want to ask this question in the internet explorer newsgroup. It
is OS dependent.

Have you checked with AOL to see if their software is Vista compatible, for
for work arounds?

Re: Vista Feedback

Just FYI, Conexant has sold off its audio chipset and the company who bought
it isn't supporting all of the older versions. You may have to go to your
hardware manufacturer for drivers. I have heard that Dell has them for some
Conexant chipsets.

Re: Vista Feedback

With the conexianbt drivers, you will have to check with Conexient

The HP drivers, you can look on HP. I know the 4215 All-in-one drivers come
with Vista itself.

Your IE issues may be due to a bad load, I haven't had one issue so far with
IE7 in Vista

Same goes for AOL, I am using AOL VR software with no issues as well. Worst
case scenerio, you got a bad Vista load, I would try a re-load.

Have you tried letting Vista check for updates? I too had no
sound on several installs but Vista successfully downloaded
the correct drivers for me.
