Vista - Can't switch to Windows Aero theme

I just installed Vista so I'm still getting used to everything. Yesterday I
used a program that had it's own theme to it and Vista told me that it was
going to stop using Aero until the program was exited. After closing the
program, Vista didn't switch back to Aero. I realized this today and i tried
to switch the themes back to Aero, but when I am in the theme selection
window and click on Windows Aero, it doesn't show the Aero theme in the
preview box, and when I hit apply it doesn't switch it to Aero. How can I
fix this, I like the Aero theme the most.

Did you try uninstalling the program that had it's own theme...?

The Aero Glass isn't previewed properly in the Themes dialogue box (maybe
because, as it's a rendered preview, Aero Glass would have to be enabled to
see it in the first place).

Try Updating the Java VM in Control Panel. This seems to fix certain apps
turning off Aero Glass.
