vista is crap

I just built a killer system, with way more requirements needed to install or
run vista.
Go to install vista, it starts the install, them tells me my drivers for
the device i'm installing with are not there, every thing was in place before
i started, now this, i start again from formating a brand new 320gb drive set
all the bios and now i can't run vista because of the drivers for the dvd are
gone, can't install drivers eather because i don't have an operating now.what
to do? Talk about money wasted, i purchased vista- ultimate and home premium
for my two systems in my home.
what microsoft makes a product that they can't even work, but yet release
it to us the public, My opin it sucks and wish i could get my money back, stay
with xp or run win98se this is the best thing they ever made, old but good.
IDEA- SHOULD GO TO MICROSOFT WITH A BIG ROCK TIE THE TWO CRAPIE PROGRAMS TO
IT AND THROW IT THROUGH THERE WINDOW. THANKS FOR NOTHING.

Re: vista is crap

Return Vista to the seller.
Or if you live in North America, return to Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/prod...und/refund.asp

But first verify the hardware is compatible with Vista.
New does not guarantee Vista compatibility.
Remove all non essential components such as NIC, sound card, modem etc and
then try installing Vista.

Re: vista is crap

Take time to figure what went wrong. These things are a bit of a process of
elimination. Sometimes a 'minimal' install is a good idea, then add hardware
piece by piece. Vista should recognize most DVD and CD-ROM drives. If need
be, if the DVD drive is the problem, get your hands on an inexpensive
ordinary DVD ROM drive that is known to work with Vista and use it to
install. And so on ..

I probably can't help you much further but at what point exactly did the
install routine first throw up a problem? Was there an error message, and,
if so, what was it exactly?

That's the price you pay for being an early adopter. You have to blame only
yourself. How many 1st generation products are trouble-free? Not many.
That's especially true for software. When was the last time that a software
program ran perfectly without a single patch whatsoever?

Re: vista is crap

Your right, but they've been working on this for 3-4 years,+ I should have
listen to myself and not the computer jerk where i purchased all the new hard
wear, but it's still good to vent, and worn others not to make my mistake.

I figure you are doing a clean install from scratch - is that so?

In reality, it's more like 2-2 1/2, thanks to the "reset".
