Unable to stretch wallpaper to fit laptop 17" wide screen

I keep on choosing my desktop wallpaper to fit the screen through
Personalization, Desktop Background and it keeps on reverting back to
centered afew minutes later on its own.
I tried contacting Microsoft to make use of 90 days free support available
to Windows buyers.
I bought a full Ultimate version from Staples. Microsoft support screen says
my Product ID found in Control Panel - System is not valid. I put it in
format desired.

Strange.

Pradeep

If that's the way you entered the key, then of coarse
it's not valid. It has to be 5-5-5-5-5
=25 digits long, alpha/numeric.

That key looks like the barcode key on the box.
Look for the key, 25 chars long on the yellow label.

Try again with change 'Product Key".

Oooops !
Product I.D. & 'Product Key' are two different things.
However, entering the Product Key at installation is
still 25 chars long.
