That would be either illegal or unlicensed use, depending on where you are located. If you're going to do that why not admit you're a pirate and get a proper pirated or cracked copy? Either way it's theft... your conscience will tell you what you should do. And I'm not preaching, if you're happy with stealing software then go ahead and do it. -- Paul-B |

| | Re: is this legal Microsoft has left this door open for people. MS knows that a person will get tired of reinstalling everything every 30 days. In the meantime they will/may become hooked on Vista and eventually purchase it. | | Re: is this legal Of course, the easiest way to get more time before activating is, open an elevated command prompt and type slmgr -rearm A user can only do this three times. Each time giving the user an additional 30 days. With the original 30 days, that gives a user 120 days. -Michael "Richard Urban" <richardurbanREMOVETHIS@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:%23uff5esSHHA.2124@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Microsoft has left this door open for people. So a presumption of guilt was jumping the gone. The did with innocent until proven guilty -- the sequence would require an accusation first, as the law doesn't prosecute without an accusation. The deal is, some party does or does not do something which is thought to be illegal. Then another party (or the state) chooses to act to bring charges. The lawyers make a lot of money. At that point evidence is acquired for a court case. The deal here is there is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, but the accusation must precede that finding. -- Barry Schnur |

Personally I don't have a problem with software piracy... I don't do it myself because I don't need to but if someone wants to take the risk who am I to judge... I quite often break the speed limit, which probably is far more a "crime" than running illegal/pirated software. -- Paul-B |
