Even MS cannot keep up with MS

Ok so I download the new drivers for my mouse and keyboard. Well those
drivers do not help. When I use the magnify option on the mouse, the screen
goes blank (ATI drivers just installed new) and after about 3 seconds the
screen shows with the maginfier.

Way to go MS. What a crock this has been and you should be ashamed of
yourself. A bad application just affects a small circle but a bad OS
affects all the functioning of the PC so now we have that to deal with.

As for all those who take the problems religiously GET A MAC!

Same here. But mine only goes black for about 1 second. I have Nvidia MB
graphics. Vista drivers for both the graphics adapter and the MS mouse.

From the Intellipoint help file, "Using the Magnifier":

"In Microsoft Windows VistaT, the screen might flicker when you turn the
Magnifier on and off; in some graphics programs, such as Photo Gallery,
images might not display in the Magnifier window."

Pretty lame.

I used to use magnify on the middle mouse button in XP, as I use back and
forward too much. But now with the middle mouse button being very useful
with IE7, I no longer can use magnify, as the application specific settings
in Intellipoint don't work properly.

Re: Even MS cannot keep up with MS

Ok, for those who did not understand.

Latest driver from ATI
Latest driver from MS

In XP there was no flicker. In Vista the bloody screen disappears for a
couple of seconds. Just another nail in the coffin of this terrible OS.
Please MS get it together and fix this .......

Interestingly enough, the shiney-new Windows Vista (x64) drivers
Logitech released for my mouse (MX Laser 1000) work perfectly. Not
only that they ADD Vista-specific functionality....
