jumping desktop icons

When I click on the Control Panel icon and do whatever I'm going to do
there, I notice afterwards that the desktop icon has moved to the upper left
corner of my screen, and i have to drag it back to where I want it.

Any way to keep this from happening?

Thanks,
John

Re: jumping desktop icons

John--

Right click desktop>view>select and click "allign to grid." You can also
select *how they are arranged at Sort by on the same menu. You can also
choose which system icons to keep on desktop @ rt. click
desktop>personalization>change desktop icons hyperlink on the left.

Let us know if this doesn't get it done.
